Before we understood words like organic food, healthy eating, or sustainable farming, we knew the comforting taste of food made by our mothers. Warm rotis, slow-cooked dals, fresh grains stored carefully in steel containers — food that nourished not just our bodies, but our sense of home.
At Amratahaar, we believe the first farmers most of us ever knew were our mothers.
In villages across India, women have always played a silent but powerful role in agriculture. They sow seeds, protect crops, sort grains, prepare meals, and ensure that food reaches the family with care. In fact, women make up nearly 64% of India’s agricultural workforce, yet their contribution often goes unseen.
Coming from a farming family in Madhya Pradesh, we grew up watching our mother work tirelessly — both in the fields and in the kitchen. Her understanding of food was never based on trends or labels. It came from generations of traditional farming wisdom and the belief that pure food is the foundation of good health.
This belief became the heart of Amratahaar.
Every grain, flour, and pulse we produce is grown on our own farms using traditional farming methods, without harmful chemicals or unnecessary processing. The same food that nourishes our family is what we bring to yours.
Because mothers have always understood something the world is only now rediscovering — real, healthy food begins with care for the soil, the crops, and the people we feed.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate not just mothers at home, but also the women farmers who quietly nourish families, communities, and generations every single day.
🌾 From our home to yours, with love.
